Tier 1 Visa Query

Guys could you please help me with below query

I have got a Tier 1 General Visa stamped from UK in July 2008 which is valid till 2011.

However as suggested by UK Home office i have now got a UK student Visa issued from Chennai, India in August 2008 for my MBA course in UK which is starting in September 2008. Also my Student visa is valid till January 2010.

Could you please let me know what will be the status of my Tier 1 visa i.e whether it will be superseded by my student visa ? If yes, then do i have apply for fresh Tier 1 application if i want to switch from Student Visa to Tier 1 general Visa ?

strange. people do it the other way round. student to tier 1. dont know why u had to forfeit the tier 1 but u must have had your reasons.

normally the student visa would cancel the tier 1 and then i suppose it would be easier to apply for PSW which might still be 2 years when u finish the MBA.

Your Tier 1 leave is invalid now.

You'll have to apply afresh for Tier 1 (General or PSW, whichever you'd qualify for at the time).
