EU Pre-settle, How long I can stay out of UK in one Year?

Respected Gurus,

Apology if this question is already posted.

My brother is married to an EU national and is on pre-settled status. Currently, he is outside of the UK.
How long he can stay out of the UK continuously in one year and still eligible to apply for settlement within five years?

Would like to get the input from Zimba and CR001 with other respected members.

I would highly appreciate a quick response as he's near to 90 days.
