Question about Statutory Declarations

Post by jerryandtom » Wed Oct 28, 2020 8:42 pm

Hello everyone,

I need some help here. :)
I just got a letter from the Department of Justice that saying:

--------
Please complete the enclosed Statutory Declaration form as previous declaration submitted will not suffice as it was witnessed by a Garda, Statutory Declarations need to be witnessed by a Solicitor/Peace Commissioner For Oaths/Notary Public.
--------

I'm a little confused here, for the Statutory Declaration form, should I get a solicitor or a Notary Public?
I searched online to find a Notary Public in Galway and I found those people are also solicitors.

Can I go for that, a solicitor which is also recognised as a Notary Public?

I just want to make sure I do it right this time, as they request to submit this back within 28 days.

Which is the most correct way to fill this Statutory declaration form?

Thanks in advance.

Almost all solicitors are notary public.

Thanks very much. So if I just find a solicitor should be fine?

Is this statutory declaration after receiving citizenship approval for naturalization certificate?
