Are These Acceptable As Proof of Residence Citizenship Application??

Post by johnpromise01 » Mon Nov 02, 2020 4:21 pm

Asking on behalf of a friend. Are Free TV Licence and Council House rent statement acceptable as proof of Residence to the department for citizenship application?

Also as a carer, can she submitt tax clearance issued this November 2020 to citizenship in January or February 2021?

TV Licence I doubt it. Council Rent Statement should be good.

eTax clearances stay valid until they aren't. They give you a code which you can give to any institution and they will see if the certificate is still valid. Revenue will invalidate the certificate as soon as there is something off with your tax affairs. You don't really have to renew or reissue these.

I wouldn't worry too much about sending only "acceptable" PoRs to them. Send 4 of them for each year just to be on the safe side. They will ask for more if any of them is not acceptable.
