citizenship after settled status, now married to british national

Post by Selby795 » Wed Nov 04, 2020 8:19 pm

I am divorced from my EEA spouse and have retained my rights and under the settlement scheme will be granted settled status in 2021. I know usually you have to wait one year before applying for citizenship, however, I have a new partner who is a british citizen. If we get married, can I apply straight away for citizenship even though I was granted settled status through EEA route, as spouses of british nationals can do after applying for ILR?
