Switch from T2 ICT to T2 PBS

Hello, I am looking to switch from Tier 2 ICT visa (expires next year) to the new Tier 2 Point Based System visa as soon as I can, i.e. much before my ICT visa expires. Please confirm that I can apply in-country switch? Further, where can I find a list of documents to submit (for Non-EEA applicant.. I am from India).

Can I first apply to switch my visa, and once approved switch my dependents or would my existing visa cease as soon as a new visa is granted and therefore the dependent visas will be invalidated immediately?
