Change of Shareholding

Post by amanlamba1 » Sun Nov 29, 2020 1:37 pm

Hi,

I am employed with a Tier 2 General Visa through a company A. This company is owned by a company B. The share holding of company B has now changed. Questions:
1. Do my company A need to apply for a new sponsorship licence?
2. Is my Tier 2 Visa still valid?

In the past, when direct shareholding of my company A got changed, they applied for a new sponsorship licence. But this time shareholding of company B (parent company of my company A has changed); so not sure what is the requirement this time (if any).

Could you please help?

Thanks
Aman

Hello

You are probably overthinking.

As long as the company that sponsored you exits, didn't change form, didn't merge or dissolve, I don't see why you would look a the shareholding structure of the company that owns your company.

Traded companies change shareholders every minute as stocks get sold and acquired, this doesn't create a cascade of Tier 2 curtailments.
