Return of ILR BRP

Post by tier21419 » Tue Dec 08, 2020 9:19 pm

Hi All,
I have recently attended my ceremony and I know that I have to return my BRP within 5 days of attending the ceremony.
Just wanted to ask if I would need it in the future or shall I keep a certified copy of it?
I have two kids and both are British citizens based on my ILR. They were born before my ILR and I registered them on MN1 (i.e. I got ILR in 2019 and they were born in 2016 and 2018). They both have registration certificates.
Shall I keep my ILR BRP and send a letter to UKVI if I need it in the future or return it?

Thanks

No. It would only be needed if ANY of your child was born in UK AFTER your ILR and was British by birth.
