Tier 2 general employer limit

Post by vamsikaa » Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:06 am

Hi
I am on Tier 2 General visa since 2016 and will be eligible for ILR next month. I am speaking to my HR to get employer supporting letters. The HR told me that on the Tier 2 general sponsorship license details "Tier-2 general limit is showing as 1, assigned to date 1, remaining 0". But they recruited someone on tier-2 general visa in 2017. Technically there are 2 people on their sponsorship. Should their license details show Tier-2 general limit as 2 instead of stating 1. Do they need to amend their license before i apply for my ILR so that there won't be any issues with my application.

Regards
Vamsi.

Original documents - ILR

Post by vamsikaa » Fri Nov 27, 2020 1:14 pm

Hi

I am in process of submitting my ILR application with dependents. While gathering documents i found that we lost our original marriage certificate and eldest son's birth certificate. I have scan copies of them. Do i need originals or do home office accept scan copies.

Scan copy should be fine as no original is sent to anywhere.

ILR 28 days eligibility period

Post by vamsikaa » Mon Dec 07, 2020 4:35 pm

Hi

I am about to complete 5 years on T2G visa. Preparing my application for ILR.
Entry clearance date: 10/01/2016
First Entry into UK: 18/01/2016

Am i eligible to apply on or after 13/12/2020 - considering 5th anniversary period from entry clearance date or on or after 21/12/2020 - considering 5th anniversary period from first entry into UK.

My BRP is valid up to 24/12/2020. So i need to submit my application online before expiry of BRP. If i book an appointment for biometrics after 11/01/2021, will this be sufficient enough to prove i completed legally 5 years on T2G visa.

Regards
Vamsi.

Entry clearance date is the start of the qualifying period.

Hi Vamsi,

im in a similar confusion. However I was wondering if you have applied for ILR and How long did it take to complete the process. What status is your application in?
My Visa was stampped on 25/01/2016 and I entered UK 21/02/2016.
So we are also preparing for ILR.

employer letter for indefinite leave to remain

Post by vamsikaa » Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:29 pm

Hi

I need to get letter from my employer to support my ILR application.

Entry clearance date: 10/01/2016
Start date as per CoS amendment: 11/01/2016
Date of first entry into UK: 18/01/2016
Date of First exit from UK: 20/01/2016 (collected BRP from post office)
Date of re-entry to UK: 03/02/2016
First payroll generated and paid: 28/02/2016

The dates i was outside UK - 20/01/2016 - 03/02/2016 - is stated as paid leave in employer absence letter.

In employer support letter the start date of employment needs to be mentioned. Which is the appropriate date to state from the above dates, so that i don't have any problems with my ILR application.

Regards
Vamsi.

Also, since an in time application was made, your rights under current leave or last valid leave is also preserved by Section 3C.

Hi

I am in process of uploading scan copies of documents before my appointment for biometrics. Regarding cohabitation evidence, these needs to be uploaded under my partner documents or under my documents.

Thanks for your help.

Hi

I submitted my online application on 17th December. Now in process of uploading documents before my biometric appointment, which is on 14/01/2021. I have got my employer letter dated 4/01/2021 for absences and support letter to confirm they need my services in foreseeable future. Is the letter date is ok or do i need to have a letter dated on or before my application date.

Thanks for your help.

Ideally this should be dated on or before the application submission date.

Date of application is the date you submit and pay online and NOT the biometric date.

Letter must be dated within 28 days before your application date, not your biomteric appointment date.

Hi
This is with reference to document upload on UKVCAS website, I uploaded documents. But I haven't got any email confirmation. It's showing as number of files uploaded. Is this sufficient proof that documents got uploaded or do we get an option of submit at the time of biometric appointment.
Thanks for your reply.

Self-submission is OPTIONAL. If you want to benefit from the new feature, you must upload and self-submit up to 48hrs before the appointment. If you do NOT want to self-submit, you can upload ANYTIME before the appointment date and submit at the appointment itself. Self-submission is recommended as you may save some processing time - your documents are sent to UKVI even before biometrics in this case. You can self-submit only ONCE. But if you forget to upload any documents, you can always upload later on (after self-submission) and submit at the appointment then (you will not be able to self-submit again but can submit at appointment).

Read “self-submit” “submit” “upload”

Hi
I already submitted my application and due for biometric appointment tomorrow. I am checking all details again to make sure i have got it correct. This is with reference to question "Do you have any Home Office reference numbers?" i answered No. I had a UK business visit visa before i got T2G visa. In view of my previous visa, am supposed to answer this question as yes instead of no. But i don't have any reference numbers for previous visa which was issued on 08/12/2013 for 2 years. But i visited UK a month before i got my T2G visa on previous visa.

As i answered no, do i need to provide any covering letter before my appointment.

Thank you for your response.

Nope, nothing required to be done. That is an "if known" question.

Hi

Yesterday i submitted my bio-metrics to UKVCAS. They told that they will forward application to UKVI. Do we get any acknowledgement or confirmation that full application received by UKVI.

No, unless you've paid for SMS subscription while booking biometrics
