Query for ILR and British Citizenship for my dependant

Hello! I have a question. I am currently ILR and will be applying for british citizenship soon. My husband will be extending his visa under tier 2 which was my visa when I got him. My question is if I became british citizen, when can my husband apply for british citizenship? Does he needs to apply as ILr first and stay in UK for 5yrs? Pls enlighten me. Thanks!

He needs ilr first regardless of whether you are British or not.

Ilr requires 5 years residence.

Ther eis no shortcut route
