divorce eu nation

Post by copper » Fri Sep 19, 2008 2:22 pm

Hi all,

I would like to share my friend experince with all immigration board readers.
My friend (non eu) married to eu nation in 2005.They lived in poland over 1 year then moved to the uk.They have been living here for 1 year 10 months. My friend has residence card which expires in 2013.
They have also a baby.Unfortunately,They are going to get divorced.

It is a bit complicated. If they get divorced,Does my friend (non eu) have to leave the uk?
Thanks

Three years marriage, one in UK mean they can stay - otherwise no. Ur friend needs to stretch it out a few months but even to me it looks suspicious, exactly three years......
