Please help me out. A query regarding dependants application

Please advice friends.

1. Does anyone have an experience of applying as dependant after main applicant?
I will be applying from outside of UK, and worry about my wife who will apply after delivery))
Unfortunately, any examples of applying of dependents separately have not been found within this informative forum.
2. What funds shall be deposited?
As I understood from other forums I need 2800 for myself in the time of my application, and my wife shall perform 1600 for herself + 1600 for child along with her and child’s applications. Is that correct?

Please, confirm or correct mentioned above.
