job in europe and immigration

HI,

I'm originally an Architect from India. I currently live in New York for the last 7 years. I am in search of newer frontiers and challenges and am wanting to get more variety in terms of work experience in Europe before I go back to my hometown of Bombay for good. I want to spend about a year or so for one project over there.
My sole purpose of going to Europe is to work for one project.

I am starting freshly, so can anyone tell me about the scene in Europe for people wanting to work there with an Indian passport?

Which country is tough and which is easier to get through in terms of immigrations and job availability?

Are there any links to my answers or to further refine my search.
