Tier 2 dependant child consent letter

Hi,

Does anybody know if the consent letter for tier 2 dependant child can be made as 2 seperate letters in the case where Tier 2 main applicant is in UK (Father) and child is based outside UK with the mother. Or has it got to be one joint letter? Also would digital signatures and printouts of documents work or should there be a hard copy of a letter with actual signatures to be shown during the appointment?
