Tier 1 -Maintenance Funds - Is HDFC Bank a good option?

Post by dilip_gem » Tue Sep 23, 2008 7:04 pm

Hi All,
I'm from India and I've just deposited more than 2800 GBP (equivalent funds in INR) for showing maintenance of funds for Tier 1 Visa. I'm planning to apply for the visa in Jan. I've deposited the money with HDFC Bank. Just wanted to know whether is this the right bank to maintain the funds? I mean do they provide us the required documents and branch manager contact details on our request? Was anybody in this forum was successful in getting the visa , having HDFC as their banker? Did any body on this forum had any bitter experiences with this bank?

Regards,

Why didn't you check with them before you started maintaining the funds with them?? Why not check now and if this bank will not provide you the information / documents you need, dump them and find one that will!

But ensure to check as I did some running around with these bureaucrats and finally have to assure taking care a bit for their future business targets like opening NRE accounts, gold coin purchase or deposits

Just forgot the mention that I've maintained funds in INR only :) Thanks.
