Stamp 4 application- 5 years GEP

Hi all - I was wondering if anyone has recently applied for Stamp 4 on the basis of holding GEP for 5 consecutive years. how long did it take to get it and docs that you submitted any tips etc.

I have a Stamp 1 up to September 2021 but will be five years in few months time in May. Am planning to apply a month before so around April. I am based in Dublin.

I didn't have GEP but instead had CSEP. However, the procedures are identical apart from stamp 4 eligibility time frame ( 2 years for CSEP , 5 years for GEP)

I had stamp 1 validity until end of July'21 but at the same time I'd finished two years with CSEP. So, I applied stamp 4 on 1 Feb 2021 and received my IRP card with stamp 4 on 23 Feb 2021. I also had to choose previous card expiration date as 15 Feb even though it was expiring July to continue online application

Thanks. When did you turn 2 years? February? I kind of want to apply early say mid March and not wait until May.

i completed 2 years period in Nov'20 but my stamp 1 was valid until July'21. It's understood you can apply for stamp 4 anytime after you meet min. eligibility criteria. It could be now or a month before current IRP expiration date

Note that General Employment Permit and Critical Skills Employment Permit do not work the same way.

For CSEP holders, the requirement is that you apply for a Stamp 4 Support Letter after completing 21 months on CSEP.

GEP holders do not need this letter. They need to complete 5 years of GEP and when they renew their IRP for the 6th year, they can directly apply for a Stamp 4.

Just an update that I just received my Stamp 4 card valid for one year, I used the renewal option online and uploaded all my GEP work permits, P60s for last five year and paid 300. I applied on 16 March and got an email on 22 that it was processed and got the card by post on 26 March so happy for the quick turnaround!
