Child born in the UK but parents recently obtained ILR

Post by qordjr » Mon Sep 29, 2008 5:33 pm

I have recently obtained ILR baesed on work permit for 5 years

My daughter, nearly 4 years old, was born in the UK. However, she has been out of the UK many time (roughly 4~5 times).
The sum of duration should be about 2 years out of 4 years.

Here is my question...

I am now plannning to apply for her registraion as a british citizen.

Does the absense period cause any problem for her application?

Absences shouldn't be a problem. She may be registered under section 1(3).

Since you are ILR holder now, she can be registered as British + £400. Should be free if she was born after you had ILR.
