Hello.
My partner and I intend to marry later this year, so we can eventually move to France. We have both been in the UK for 12/13 years and have lived together/ in a relationship for 12 years.
He is a French National with settled status in the UK, I am a New Zealander on an Ancestry Visa (since 2009), which I renew every 5 years.
My question is: Do I need to change anything regarding my Visa status to marry? I am unsure of the gov.uk advice regarding Marriages and civil partnerships in England and Wales, as they present the visa categories as though one would be coming to the UK to get married rather than already living here. Their visa categories are: Marriage visitor visa, family visa or a family permit - do any of these these apply to me? Everything else seems fairly straightforward, I am just stuck on my Visa situation.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
