Its been 4 months

Hi
I have applied for citizenship on 31st of December 2020
And done my biometrics on 3rd of feb 2021
British spouse and ILR
Everyone is getting their approval letter through email or physical letter
But why my approval is not coming
I am so depressed and tired of waiting
I dont know what to do who to contact
Is there any way to do something
My ILR is also expired on 31st of march 2021
Still waiting
Need help

You only did your biometrics 2 months ago, give it some time.

Assuming that you are resident in the UK, ILR does not expire (it lapses if you have been absent from the UK for at least 2 continuous years).

There are delays in the naturalisation system currently, due to Covid, Home Office staff working from home and a number of EU citizens applying to naturalise. Even after approval, there are delays in arranging citizenship ceremonies with the local councils, etc. So, keep patience.

And post any questions on delays in the stickie on that topic.

I applied and did my biometrics back in November and I’m still waiting.. so you’re not alone. It seems like there’s a lot of people who applied in January that have already heard and it’s killing me!
