Applying For HSMP stamping in a non-resident nation

Hi Guys,

I found that this forum is very useful and wish some one can respond to my query asap.

I'm indian and got HSMP Approval letter, but now I'm on visitor visa(B1) at Chicago,US woulk like to apply for stamping at Chicago British Counsulate. Is it possibke to do so? or do I need to apply only from India?

Please reply asap.

HI

i don`t think you can apply on a vistors visa, you need to be leagal resident of the country you are in like if you are on a work permit, but not vistors.
