Spouse visa advice

Post by R1shpil » Mon Aug 09, 2021 3:50 pm

Hi ladies and gents,

31 weeks since bio.

I would like to make a complaint but solicitor advises to be patient because a complaint could cause more delay. What is your opinion, ladies and gents, raise a complaint or be patient?

03.12.20 - spouse visa + 2 kids application submitted
28.12.20 - biometrics enrolled
16.03.21 - email from UKVI that visa application has been received and is under consideration
29.03.21 - telephone interview
03.05.21 - first escalation
05.05.21 - reply from UKVI that a number of mandatory checks need to be completed in both the applicant’s home country and the UK
01.06.21 - Contacted UKVI again
11.06.21 - reply from UKVI:
“Prior to making a decision on an Entry Clearance application, a number of mandatory checks need to be completed in both the applicant’s home country and the UK. Once these mandatory checks have been completed the results of these checks may mean that further extended checks need to be carried out; this was the case with this application. I have chased these cases with the relevant team, however the checks remain ongoing. Unfortunately we are unable to provide a timescale for these checks will be completed or a decision made, however the case working team are actively working hard to ensure that this is done as soon as possible. Whilst we appreciate the delays are frustrating for the applicants, UKVI policy and procedures must remain intact.”

Appreciate your advices.

Thank you.

Balderdash, you don't get victimised for lodging a complaint, wonder the extent of cowboys out there claiming solicitor. If its the check from applicant's home country that is delaying decision then the wait this long.
In any case, you may want to go the way of contacting your MP to reach out to HO on your behalf; maybe not always but it does work.
