Biometric appointment

Post by ravin9889 » Wed Aug 11, 2021 11:21 am

Hello All,

Can anyone please let me know when can I expect an email from UKVAS to schedule BRP appointment? My Skilled worker application has been submitted on 9th August 2021. I am in the UK and changing employer. So the change was required to a new SW visa.

Thanks,
Ravin

You don't get an email.

Once you apply and pay online, you are directed to the UKCVAS portal to upload your documents and book your appointment.

Hi CR001,

My new employer's immigration lawyer has submitted the application on my behalf. And they have let me know that I should now be getting an email from UK immigration service to book an appointment for Biometrics. Is this possible? Or there has been some misunderstanding?

Thanks,
Ravin

Hi,

From this post, it does look like there might be an email sent out for appointment booking.

In my case, the employer's attorney have submitted the application. So could it be possible they have selected some option which allows me to book the appointment as per my availability?

The post you linked was specific to the lockdown periods last year when they were limiting the numbers of people at the centres. This is no longer the case.

When you apply online, after payment, you are directed to UKCVAS to book the appointment and upload your documents.

OP, whoever is applying for you (let's call him Mr. X) should have received an email confirming that your application fee has been paid. In that email, there is a summary about what to do next, with a link for you to return to your application and book an appointment with the UKVCAS.

You should tell Mr. X to forward that email to you.

Thanks a lot both. I will reach out to my new employer and discuss the above with them.
