Good Character for naturalisation

Good morning,
Just thought I’d get some advise regarding the good character.
In fact I’m due to apply for naturalisation in a month time, I have realised that I overstayed for 4 months. Here is my immigration history:
2010-12 student visa
2012-2014 psw
2014 - Application for EU family member refused, followed appeal which was refused in December. Fresh application made in March 2015 and it was successful.
From December to February I was technically illegal.
I know this is a breach of immigration rules but I’d just try my luck and apply.
Do you guys think it is worth trying? I would really appreciate if you guys could advise or give me some suggestions.
