ILR same day service

Post by bsbs » Wed Oct 22, 2008 1:12 pm

Hi,
Can someone reply me please? If someone has worked for 4.5 years with WP and then switched to Tier1; can he/she apply for same day service in the the home office?

Current VISA status is Tier1 General.

Thanks in general

Yes, provided it is a straightforward application i.e. no gaps in between visa etc.

Please share the reason given by PEO for not giving you an appointment for the same day service.

I didn't call for an appointment. Somewhere I saw that if you are in Tier 1 general then you can't apply personally. So I called 0870 606 7766 this number and someone told me that I can't get same-day-service.

Please suggest me whether I should call PEO directly and ask for an appointment.

Even I called my employer's lawyer they told me they will apply for the same-day-service.

I will go for holiday so don't want to post application by post as it slows down the process.

hi,

you can't apply in person under tier 1 general migrant visa. If you see form SET(O) which is the right form for tier 1 general migrants if they want to apply ILR you can see its mentioned on the first page that tier 1 visa holder cannot apply in person.

By The Way there is no Direct number for PEO's its only one number (08706067766) to get the apponitment for all the peo's.

Now I remember I saw that in the form only. I applied for HSMP before 28th Feb 2008 before the new law but VISA was stampped as Tier 1 as they put those in the same Tier 1 general.

Can agent apply for the same day service?

As far as I know if it says on your passport" Tier 1 general migrant" they will not consider you under HSMP, so you will not be entertained at the peo for ILR.

I think agent can apply for same day service but again not for Tier 1 migrant.

Even I am not clear why it's not possible. But our corporate lawyer told they can apply as 24hours fast track service.

It's really frustating. That agent just told me Tier1 Genearl can't get same day service. I was supposed to pass him all my documents this week for the same day service.

Conclusion: We know better than the agent.

Hey Guys

Quick question, how much does it affect you if your account is withdrawn quite a bit even if you are saving some money aside.

For example, I save £600 every month and normally I am over drawn by £200-300 a month, since I have an interest free overdraft it doesnt bother me but how does this work or rather look when applying for ILR? I am trying to get on track ASAP

Thanks for your help in advance

They want to see your bank balance. If you are saving in some other account send that account's details too.
