HI All ,
I have couple of queries on Surrender of Indian passport , could anyone please clarify the same
1) Me & my daughter (7 year old) recently became British citizens and want to surrender our Indian passports. On the Appointment day does my daughter need to travel with me to the VFS office or is it Ok if I submit documents on behalf of her ?
2) In the list of documents following is mentioned
In case of Minor’s Application/Declaration either of the parents need to sign the application form/declaration along the minor applicant
By the above statement it is very much clear that either of parents need to sign on the Application form and declaration form . but what about the following documents in case of a minor applicant .
Do either of the parents need to sign on the following copies ?
Self-attested photocopy of Indian passport (All used pages)
Self-attested photocopy of the current British / Foreign Passport( Only the photo page*
Self-attested photocopy of British / Foreign Naturalisation certificate
3) Any consent letter required from both parents ?
4) What are the current processing timelines for Surrender of indian passports applications ?
