Earnings section 4.8 VAF9 PBS appendix 1

Hi All,
In the VAF9 PBS Appendix1 form, could you please help me out with the field "Earnings in pounds sterling" in section 4.8.

Country of earnings
India
Currency in which earnings were paid
INR
Earnings claimed (in original currency)
416057
Exchange rate applied
0.01250
Earnings in pounds sterling
Will it be just 416057*0.01250 or 416057*0.01250*5.3(uplift ratio for india) ????

The help for the fields in this section is supposed to be in the earnings section of electronic Self-Assessment Points Calculator, which has, among others, the following two fields: 1. Earnings in pounds sterling(416057*0.01250) and 2.Total earnings in pounds sterling(416057*0.01250*5.3).

So I am not sure which value should be used for the field "Earnings in pounds sterling" in section 4.8 of the PBS appendix 1 form.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sami,

I filled in the actual salary in GBP (without uplift ratio), for sec-4.8, that is salary*0.01250, and chose my band in sec- 4.9 after calculating it by using the uplift ratio.

so sec-4.8 ==== Salary*(conversion factor)
sec-4.9 ==== Salary*(conversion factor)*(uplift ratio)

This is what i filled in, and i am sure the CW will do their own maths too.
