Naturalization: Current passport expired; Should it be renewed before making a naturalization application?

Post by saf481 » Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:45 pm

When my daughter was born in UK she was issued an Indian passport in London with a validity of 5 yrs. The passport has expired early this year and I just noticed it! I am planning to apply for her naturalization through MN1 for her. Is it ok to make the naturalization application without renewing the passport? If I did, can the home office reject the application citing this reason?
