Applying for Citizenship but issue with PPS

Post by jman0warS » Sat Oct 23, 2021 9:29 pm

The biographical information behind the PPS number isn't accurate.
(information that Revenue has and Dept of Social Protection).

However the biographical information with INIS is accurate.
What happens with a declaration of citizenship?
Will they flag the discrepancy behind the PPS information and decline?

If you know it’s inaccurate, why not asking Revenue to fix it?

Check on PPSN is one of the most important checks in the process to establish what financial activity you are doing in the state. Discrepancy will be found out. Even if they don’t refuse your application outright, it’s unlikely they will just let it pass. More than likely they will ask you to sort it out before they take a second look on your application.

PPSN is also the single most important thing when you have to use it in future (e.g. get your pension money, especially if you live abroad), and having inaccurate information may result in you being unable to take pension money out.
