8 weeks passport application

Date of application: Monday, 30 August 2021
Application being processed: Wednesday, 29 September 2021

Hi, it's been 8 weeks and I have not recived any update after Application being processed.

• Does any one know how long it will take more for the application decision.

• Will it make any difference contacting the office for update at this stage?

• Or I should wait until 10 weeks are over?

I am in same boat. I have applied on 31 aug for me and my daughter documents received on 8 sep processing on 30 sep ( Peterborough and bottle ) with no updates since
For both of us. This is very bad service i don’t know what to do and. Why this long delay.

I have applied for my name change - British passport on 4th October
The status was updated to received documents on 8th October but i havent received any other updates in regards to application being processed

I'm surprised with this delay since i had applied for my first British passport in June and I got the passport within 3 weeks so i dont know why its getting delayed now .

It took you 1 month for your application to go to processing - surprised to see that
