Switch from Tier 2 General to Skilled worker visa Process

Hi Team,

I have an urgent query with regards to the notice period and switch of employment.

I would like to know, how the employer inform to the home office about tier 2 general employee resignation?Do they need to update the notice period or the last working date in the SMS system?

I have not put my resignation in my current organization, I am waiting for my application to submit. Once it's confirmed, I am planning to inform my current employer about my resignation. Is it the right process to follow ? or should I need to inform my employer before the switch visa process

Your current employer has to notify UKVI within 10 days AFTER your last date of employment.
