When to apply for FLR (M)

Post by Tony1yont » Tue Sep 29, 2020 4:02 pm

Hi,

My wife arrived to the UK on the 23/02/2019

The BRP is valid until 19/11/2021 (33 months validity)

So does that mean I should apply 28 days before my wife reaches 30th month i.e. Aug-21

Or

Does that mean I can apply up untill the 33rd month? Is there any implication on IHS as that is only valid for 2.5years

Please advise when would be best to apply in my circumstance.

I think she should apply after completing 30 months from initial entry and before her leave expires.

The application window starts from 28 days before reaching 30 months in UK to the date of expiry of BRP.
Technically could be going by the dates but practically I have not heard of any implication on IHS.

Spouse Extension Visa Confused for Correspondence Evidence

Post by Tony1yont » Sun Oct 24, 2021 2:07 pm

Hi All please help, am confused on the correspondence for the relationship evidence.

This is for Spouse Extension Visa, My wife came from Pakistan and now resides in the UK.

We are due to submit on 1st Nov.

Is the following enough based on my spouse who arrived to the UK in Feb 2019:

1. Joint Bank Statements every 3 months since 2019 till 3rd Oct 2021
2. Joint Gas bills - 3 in 2019, 3 in 2020, 2 in 2021 but they cover the whole year the company only gives statements quarterly
3. Joint Council Tax bills - 1 in 2019, 1 in 2020 and 1 in 2021,
4. Joint Water Bills 2 in 2019, 2 in 2020, 1 in 2021 but they cover the whole year the company only give statements twice a year (6 monthly)

Is that enough or do I need to add more?

The only missing elements are in the Joint Gas bill.

There hasnt been one issued yet between July 2021 and Oct 2021.

This is the only gap - Am i safe to apply or will i get penalised?

You need the correspondence documents to cover the 24 months prior to the date of application.

Begin with the date of the first document and select another dated 4 or 5 months later, and so on until the 24 months are covered.

Whether a document you include covers a week or a year is not terribly important for this purpose.

The first 6 months of her arrival is not taken into account. If any gap find any item of correspondence to fill up that space when it comes to it. Keep up to the number no penalty.

I am due to submit my flr m application on Saturday, just checking on the upload of documents.

If my Downloaded bank statements meet the requirement or do I need the official bank statement.

Please confirm.

Self Submission Within 48hours of Biometric Appointment

Post by Tony1yont » Sun Oct 31, 2021 2:15 pm

Hello,

I have my biometric appointment tomorrow (1st November at 7.30pm), I have uploaded all my documents and there is a note in the upload section which states:

"We have introduced the option to submit your uploaded documents to UKVI before your appointment takes place. This option will be available on the Document upload page until 48 hours before your appointment."

However there is only approx. 29hours left and there is still no link to Submit - should i be worried or is there something wrong? Has anybody experienced this in the past and is there a solution to this problem.

It's normal. You can only self submit (which is OPTIONAL) 48 hours or more before your appointment at UKCVAS. If less than 48 hours, the submit option disappears.

Nothing you need to do. UKCVAS will submit once you attend your appointment.

Wait till tomorrow ( not as if you have another option at this point anyway) it will be submitted for you at the biometric appointment.
