Spouse visa delays and how to accelerate

Post by DimaG » Tue Nov 09, 2021 12:02 pm

Hello,

I wonder wether there any topic already discussing current delays with general spouse visas (Tier2 Partner),
so will be grateful if you can refer me to any.
We have applied for Tier2 Partner for my wife and her child end-of-June and haven't heard from Home Office since except they asked to pay NHS Surcharge for the child late July.
Could you please advise on whatever options to facilitate the process, my lawyers already send 2 letter to HO, haven't got any response. Also will be great to hear your lead time for getting similar visas nowadays.

Thanks very much

When did they submit their biometrics?

My spouse submitted their biometrics on the same day. I’ve escalated it three times since it hit 60 working days to no avail. All we can do is wait I guess. Have you tried contacting them?

It would be useful if you did not tag onto topics that are not related to your visa route you have applied for as different rules and processes apply to different visas. This topic is for a Skilled Worker Dependent visa and NOT a spouse of settled person visa. Continue in the existing topic for your visa category.

Not myself... I have submitted through lawyers, they tried twice as they told me.

Sorry, maybe I put it wrong way , I settled on ILR. Let me check their applications and correct if this is not Tier2

You need to be clear in what you have applied for instead of posting in multiple sub forums for different visa routes.

If you hold ilr and have applied for your spouse etc after you got ilr, you cannot apply for tier 2 dependent visas for them.
