BRP or ILR letter- MN1 form

Hi,

I want to submit the MN1 form for my child as soon as possible. I have just received my ILR decision letter by email. Can I use this letter as proof of my settlement rather than wait 7-10 working days for the BRP (this will probably be longer due to the festive period). In the check list, it mentions letters, BRP or other evidence the proves my settlement. Is it safe to assume the decision letter would suffice?
