Need Help -- HSMP application

Post by itsme » Fri Mar 04, 2005 6:59 pm

Hello Everybody,

I am new member to this blog and very much appreciate the way this discussion board is organized - thanks to moderators, administrator & other contributors.

I am from India and an UNIX Systems Administrator with Certifications in SUN-Solaris, IBM-AIX,HP-Unix and RedHat Linux Sys Admins with nearly 6 years of hi end work experience.

I would like to have guidance from one of you before applying HSMP Visa.
I got my assessment done through workpermit.com and below are the points allocated.

Age (less than 28 ) -- 5 points.
Work Experience - 35 points
Past earnings from work - 35 points ( 5 years Graduate Level work exp.)

Workpermit.com assured that i can go ahead and apply for HSMP.

I got the below documents:-

Applicant is under 28 years of age:
1) Evidence:
a) Birth Certificate - Original
b) Matriculation Certificate - Attested copy
c) Passport - Attested copy

2. Work Experience - 35 points
Evidence:
a) Employer Reference - Original
b) Employment Offer letter - Original
c) Payslips for past 12 months

3. Past earnings from my work - 35 points
Evidence:
a) Salary Letter from company - Original
b) Last 12 months wage slips - Original
c) IT Returns (yr 2003-2004) - Attested

I can continue my career in the UK.
Evidence:
10.Arragements to seek work in the UK
a)UK Job portals registration proofs
b)Job Search Results
11.What I expect to earn in the first 12 months in the UK
a)Salary Surveys

As my application is highly dependant on the 5 yrs graduate level work exp can some someone guide/share samples of exp. letters and content how it should look like - so that it can be sure whether i can go ahead and apply for it or not. Because when i go ahead for applying i would like to be doubly sure that HomeOffice accepts my experience as graduate level experience.
After searching in net i found that there are umpteeen number of jobs which suits my work profile

Please guide me if i missed out something else.
What will be the charge for this totally ? ?

Will be waiting for your precious response.

Rgds,
itsme

itsme, there are many posts in this forum containing example letters etc. One thing that attracts my attention in your application is that you are not claiming any points in education. In your case, you might want to stress out that your positions would normally require a graduate candidate.

Other than that, there are 4 strict things to be included in every employer letter

1- Start date
2- End date
3- Job title
4- Job description

I also suggest a deep dig in the forum. Hope it helps..
