I am assuming she has ILR - if that is the case there is nothing the husband can do. She should apply for naturalisation and get a UK passport just to hack him off a bit more

What is her immigration status in the UK? If she has indefinite leave to remain (ILR), then that status in unrelated to her marriage and so there is nothing the husband can do even if he wants to. Is she expecting serious unpleasantness though? If so, it might be worth her while to seek advice to find out what her options are.

And is there a reason why she has not become a naturalised British citizen?
