APPROVED!!! 18 JUNE 2004 APPLICANT - SOUTH AFRICA

Post by PAUL_SA » Mon Mar 07, 2005 2:12 pm

This is a good day indeed!
My application was lodged with HO Doncaster on 18 June 2004, ref.no. 0210XX, from South Africa.
I claimed 120 points and am a SAP Project Manager, FI/CO Financial Consultant & SA Chartered Accountant (I do have European work experience).

Since HO received my application I have had no other communication from them, other than giving my reference number when I requested it via email, and now this approval letter (Dated 2 March 2005).

To all of you still waiting ... Good luck! Perhaps now they are hitting the backlog files! This website has been a great source of help throughout the process. Thank you.

Hi Gunjans,
Pauls no is also 210**, his has been received on the 18th (friday) and mine on the 22nd (tuesday) again application no 210**
Quiet a possibility that there are more than 200 applications received in a day, but there seems to be days when they are not receiving applications or inwarding them.
Maybe in a weeks time we too should be getting the fates of our applications
Regards
Crossover

:) Congrats to you!

Let's hope that this means some forward progress. My applicaton was received June 24th or 25th. All of us are within a few days of each other.

 Keeping my fingers crossed and praying the cases are now with the caseworkers.

Hopefully, we will all have good news by the end of March before the Easter Holidays.

Keep faith as good things come to those who wait.

My application was received on 25 june 2004.
I think we should pay attention to 2 moments.
1. Paul_SA's decision is dated on 2 march -> ours decision letters could be ready at now....
2. Paul's app was a "simple one" e.g 120 points, SAP Project Manager, FI/CO Financial Consultant & SA Chartered Accountant , European work experience, etc. I am sure he has all the supporting papers in perfect order, so the caseworkers could firstly examine such apps from all the june-november entire backlog. Hopefully I am wrong at this point :-)

Hi Sergio,

U could be right in Paul's case 'coz he has european work exp which is advantageous.

If this is the case, then it means they are sorting appl as per there convinence and processing them. Which is again unfair.

So, we never know when our fate will bring light as GOD only know what they are looking for in appl.

Hi sergio39, atwoodclan,
Any news what so ever from any of the other people whom u know have applied during our period.
Palu_sa is really lucky, I guess his claim of 120 points may have done the trick, and maybe many of us are border line cases, with just 10 to 35 points above the cutt-off points, and our cases are held back thorough check up.
The waiting is getting longer and painful.
Gunjans has received his rejection letter on the 21st, and may be we too could expect our decisions soon.
All the best

Nothing yet, but my application was received on June 24th.
Don't know if points have any bearing.
I think having the necessary documentation in the order the HSMP team wants to see it is more important.

Yes, Crossover12. I totally agree. The waiting is getting very hard...

Hopefully all of us will know one way or another shortly.

Good luck to everyone waiting.

Paul

Good to see another South African in the que. I am also from SA, my appl was received on 1st July. Your approval confirms that our time is near.

Good luck with your EC. Keep us posted with how it goes and when you are landing in UK.

We will continue to wait in the mean time.
