Naturalization email

Post by tnazir » Thu Apr 07, 2022 10:09 pm

Eligibility criteria: ILR 5yr
Method of application: Online
Date of application: 18 Feb 2022
Date Biometrics enrolled: 21 February 2022

Date of receipt of approval: still waiting for home office email but received an email from council today 07/04/2022 that to book ceremony appointment . Exact wordings in emails are "This service is aware that you are awaiting attendance at a group citizenship ceremony, unfortunately there is currently a delay due to previous COVID-19 pandemic restrictions imposed by Central Government.

This office can however offer a private ceremony (on a one to one basis) with a fee of £148.00, to the prospective new citizen. This will be in line with strict Government guidelines on COVID secure building environments and social distancing requirements.

Dont know what to do. Any idea guys? Same happened to anybody?

HO approval mails are now on Mondays it seems. Hopefully you will get the approval in 3 days time as the Council would need the approval eMail for the ceremony.
