Declaration while making application for dependent child born in UK

Post by mohitr » Sun Apr 24, 2022 12:14 am

I am applying UK visa for my child born in UK, I am on Tier 2 General visa. I need help in the declaration section of the application form.
In the declaration section, I have selected - 'I am the parent or legal guardian of the applicant who is aged under 18 and completing and submitting the form on their behalf' option.

On the next page it asks for Third party declaration, where it asks - 'In what capacity are you representing the applicant', here when I select 'Family Member' it asks - ' How are you related to <my name>?'.
Instead of giving my child's name, it is giving my name.

is this correct? How can I define how am I related to myself?

It is correct. The applicant is the child, not you. The form is asking the child how s/he is related to you (father)
