Stamp 4 extension

Hello everyone,
I have applied for eu 3. Now I have received a letter from the innis for a 6 months extension while they are processiong my eu 3 application. However my wife is at the rehabilitatin center for a 12 weeks program in Ireland. There is no way she can be at the garda station on the appoiointment day. I ve already got an appointment date for end of this month. In this case what i should do? My current stamp 4 will be expired in July. And my wife wont be available until end of july. I am really worried now. If someone could share their experience or knowledege regarding my sitution I would be really greatful.
