How to check if RTB registration is correct

Post by truevelvet » Wed May 18, 2022 10:53 am

Hi folks!

As part of the new scorecard system, a new requirement seems to be that the tenancy is registered with RTB.

I have lease agreements for the years I've lived in Ireland and the property appears to be registered when checking rtb.ie. The only issue is that I can't check whether it's correctly registered to my name or not.

Is there any way to do that?

Ask your landlord to provide you a letter from RTB to prove that indeed it's registered.

Oof I dread asking my landlord for things but I guess I'll have to do it

You should’ve automatically received a letter from PRTB once the landlord registered your name with the scheme. So either the landlord hasn’t registered you or the letter was never sent. There’s no harm you contacting them to see if you’re in the register but of course asking the landlord directly would give you the quickest answer
