EUSS SETTLLED STATUS AND WIFE VISA

Post by rafael74 » Fri Jun 03, 2022 6:57 pm

Hello to every one,

Regarding the financial requirement of £18,600, does this income need to be obtained in the United Kingdom?

In my case, I am an EU citizen with Settled Status, I have been working since march 2019 in Spain. I am planning to return to the United Kingdom at the end of this year, and apply for a partner visa, hence my question.

Thank you very much.

That's a question to be asked in the section for immigration for family members (outside of the EUSS): immigration-for-family-members/
My posts express what I believe are the facts, based on the best of my knowledge, about the topics discussed in this forum. They do not constitute immigration advice.

Moved to the forum mentioned above.

@rafael74, you can meet the requirement by
(a) Demonstrating earnings of £18,600 p.a for at least six months in the UK,
(b) Demonstrating earnings of £18,600 p.a. for at least six months abroad + having a confirmed job offer earning as much in the UK, or,
(c) Demonstrating savings of at least £62,500 held for at least six months in an easily accessible bank account.
I am not a lawyer or immigration advisor. My statements/comments do not constitute legal advice. E&OE. Please do not PM me for advice.
