Cover letter for HO - BR1 and BR5 applications

Dear All,

I am a non-EEA National married to a Bulgarian citizen. My wife will fill in the application form BR-1 to register as a self-sufficient person exercising a treaty right in the UK and i will fill the BR-5 for non-EEA nationals.

My question is when i send both applications with the supporting documents to the HO , do I need to enclose a cover letter of any kind ?

and if yes, is there a certain template or format I should use ?

i don't think there is a cover letter needed
