web site or agency for jobs in ireland

Post by bjames » Thu Nov 27, 2008 10:46 pm

Hello,

My working visa in the UK is about to expire. Am looking now to move on to Ireland. (I am going to post a similar question to this in the european forum). Basically, does anyone know the best way to go about getting a job in Ireland in the IT industry? Any success stories? Any agencies? Any good job web sites?
Thanks

Most of the jobs will be posted on one of the following websites:

http://jobs.ie
http://irishjobs.ie
http://recruitireland.com
http://monster.ie

For highly skilled and/or highly paid jobs it may also be worthwhile to buy an Irish newspaper like The Irish Times. Most jobs will require that you are eligible to work in Ireland at the time of applying.

Job Boards

There are some more smaller job boards that I found useful and my girlfriend got a job quite quickly - http://www.jobs2ireland.ie

Best of luck.

There is no Harm in having tourist Visa ready(if you need one) for interviews and all at same time you can check the place out. Ryanair, Aerlingus and aerann are few airlines which do cheap flights to dublin and other places in ireland
Kind Regards

will it help if I apply for a tourist visa ? just so i can easily attend the job interviews?
Just to let you know, you will have to leave the state at the expiery of your tourist visa and then apply from outside for a proper visa when your work permit / green card permit has been approved.
