Calculation for previous earnings from different countries

Hi

Im planning to apply for HSMP Teir-1 in Jan-2009 . Right now im working in IT for a Indian compnay .

For my previous earnings :-

1) Jan-08 to March-08 , i worked in Saudi Arabia on Business Visa(deputation) from an indian compnay . During this time , i got 2800 dollars as a allowance by cash in saudi arabia . So i dont have any proof for these earnings .
But during this period , i got indian salary also in Indian bank . And i have the payslips and bank statment for indian salary for this period .

2) April-08 to Dec-08 , i worked in Canada on Work Permitt from an Indian Company. During this time , i got 2900 dollars as a allowance in my Canadain Bank . So i have allowance slips and Bank statement for this period in Canada .
But during this period , i got indian salary also in Indian bank . And i have the payslips and bank statment for indian salary for this period .


Q1) Now how can i calculate my previous Earnings

Q2) For Saudi Arabia Period , what can i do with Saudi Arabia Allowance ..
can i consider in the previous earnings or not .

Hi Mohammed,

Answer to Q2: Previous earnings needs to be supported with enough evidences. Do you have enough evidence as mentioned in the UKBA website for the allowances you received in Saudi Arabia or in canada? If yes you can claim them as previous earnings.
Answer to Q1: Go to the points calculator on UKBA website and put your income with the relevant countries. It will do the needful of calculating the points. But if you quote your Indian salary as residing in Saudi Arabia / Canada you may loose points as India is in a lower band and has a multiplication factor of 5 whereas Saudi and Canada have lower or no multiplication factors.
