Date on Naturalisation Certificate

I'd like to know what date is printed on the Naturalisation certificate- is it is the date Home Office granted approval or the date of citizenship ceremony?

Date of the ceremony. The date is written in by hand, not printed. You are only British from the date of ceremony so it would never be the date of approval on the certificate for adults.
