Dependent visa query for British Citizen

Dear Members,

I need an urgent help. I applied for Naturalization after completing 1 year on ILR visa. My application has been approved and I'm waiting for my Citizenship ceremony to receive my Naturalization certificate. I applied ILR on 10 years long residency route and my wife is not eligible for ILR yet as she has not completed her 10 years. She has the ILR dependent Spouse/Partner visa.

Now I became a British Citizen then do I need to reapply her dependent visa or her ILR dependent visa will remain valid?

Your response will be much appreciated as we need to travel out of country and we have to plan accordingly.

She does NOT have to change visas. ILR Dependent and British citizen dependent is the same visa category.

Many thanks for your quick response CR001. We checked the brp on right to work service on https://right-to-work.service.gov.uk/rt ... brp-number

And it says NO BRP found after my Citizenship approval. So we are just worried on that. Is this something an error on the website?

If you are BC, why then would you still require a permit of residency when you are a citizen?

Sorry if my question was not clear. I wanted to check my wife's immigration status after I became Citizen.

Nothing regarding her immigration status changes once you become British.

Note that you are also only British once you have attended your ceremony and not from date of approval letter/email.
