Family Visa for dependents of settled (ILR) person

Post by v007 » Tue Oct 11, 2022 12:16 pm

Hi Experts,

I hope someone can help me with their expertise.
My and My family situation,

I came to Uk before 6th April 2011 rule changes on ICT visa and subsequently granted the unlimited extensions (as per rule) and in Aug. 2020 (before completing my 10 years), I moved to Skilled worker Visa and also My family moved on my Skilled worker visa dependent which is Valid until Aug. 2024.

Last week I have done my ILR based on 10 years Long residency.

My Family situation-
They came to UK in June 2014 (not in 2011 when I came to UK)
Currently they hold a Skilled worker dependent visa valid from Mar. 2021 to Aug. 2024.

So now I have 2 questions,
1. Does my Family have to move on Family/ Spouse visa? or can stay on their current visa As their current Skilled worker dependent visa is valid until Aug. 2024 and they will be eligible for ILR in June 2024?

2. If answer to above is yes, there is a requirement of Items of correspondence for Family Visa which says,

Items of correspondence addressed to Mrs
xxxxxxx and Mr xxxxxxxx at the same address as
evidence you have been living together since
your last grant of leave in this category, or from
the date you first started living together,
covering the last 2 years

Does this means we have to provide the documents form 2014 when my family moved to UK or just covering last 2 years?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
V007

1. Yes, they should move to FLR(M) spouse visa, especially if they plan on traveling out of the UK.

2. Lat TWO years, as it clearly states.
