leave to remain rules

Post by longdistance » Fri Oct 14, 2022 12:59 pm

If wife has been granted first spouse visa, how long do they have to remain in the country for?

I was told they need to spend 6 months continuously at some point through the first visa

There is NO absence limit for a spouse visa holder.

Obviously they cannot simply live abroad for 5 years and then apply for ILR.
