People who granted fiancée spouse visa question

Hi just a quick question we haven’t opened the envelope yet with my partners passport . If it’s been accepted does it have a letter inside or just visa if it’s been approved ?

We opened it
And it was a visa
However important question here we applied for a 6month visa fiancée .
We opened I it up and states d partner standard
Valid until 12/07/25
Obviously it’s a mistake on their part issuing a spouse visa instead of a fiancée .
Is it okay for her to travel and soon as she gets here to contact them and say there has been a mistake .
I just fear if I say something now it won’t get resolved in time for her to travel in December ?

You may do as you stated above however at the PoE she could be asked by IO of things only a spouse visa holder will be asked.

Sorry obviously I want to report it cos it’s a pain but they take an age and a day to do anything . We had been waiting 5 months for this visa . With all plans made for our wedding etc . First time we had to delay everything .

Any help would be appreciated

Get into the UK first and then ask questions.

Are you sure you applied for a fiancée visa or a spouse/civil partner visa? When filling the form, what category did you go to? What documents did you supply as evidence of relationship?
Did you reference partner of proposed partner?

Yeah that’s what I thought just say she’s just arrived and I’ve noticed this .

I 100% applied for fiancée visa , I’ve rechecked this .
I didn’t pay the nhs charge cos fiancée visa you don’t and I would have paid that of course when I applied for her spouse visa .

We included usual documents about my finances
Proof of our relationship a statement on our plans . Bookings for our registrar wedding etc .

It took ages so our mp wrote to the home office and they agreeed to expediate it . So I don’t know if someone rushed it or what .
