Old passport & Citizenship

Hi,

Wonder if someone could help please

My current UK passport is valid from 2019. My previous passport was lost and therefore I don’t have it. This means I’m 1 year short of ID to satisfy lawful residency status to submit for citizenship.

I wonder if my UK certificate of naturalisation would suffice to complete the full 5 years required for citizenship? If yes will I need to get this stamped by the commissioner of oath in addition to my current passport and birth certificate?

You need certified copy of all passports valid though your residency period.
UK certificate of naturalisation - will be not sufficient. You need exactly passport was valid before 2019

The old passport was lost so I don’t have a copy of all pages but I do have an colour copy of only the biometric page. I am short of 2018-2019 period

You can try explain it And attach anything else proves your residence.

You can try to explain it, but to be safe you could wait for another year.
Take into account you could wait for half a year before you have any news for them, or they may ask for a passport halfway through the process, when a year or so had lapsed.
